Taixing Fengqi town - located in the Taixing High-tech Zone, in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province - focuses on saving energy and environmental protection.
The town has a planned area of 3.8 square kilometers and its core area covers 1.36 square kilometers. For two consecutive years it has received excellent grades in provincial assessments and it was selected twice as one of the top 50 featured towns in China.
It is widely said that talent, science and technology, innovation are the soul of the town and that it has focused on the construction of carrier platforms to attract high-end innovation drivers.
The town has established three bases and five centers for technology and innovation.
These have brought in over 800 innovation and entrepreneurial business entities, including 38 incubated projects.
The town's five centers feature a project roadshow center, a public technology service center, a technology finance center, a one-stop service center and a life security center - providing a great environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Meanwhile, the town has explored a "1+1+1+N" development pattern for the transformation of its scientific and technological achievements and has cooperated to build many new R&D institutions, such as the Jiangsu Zhonggong Research Institute of Advanced Equipment Company and the Guotai Environmental Monitoring and Testing Center.
At present, the town is promoting the construction of technical service platforms.
These include the National Supervision and Inspection Center for mechanical and electrical products, the Institute of Advanced Technology and Electricity Semiconductor Research and the Solar Valley (Taixing) High Efficiency Battery Research Institute.
