A shared cold storage facility in the Xinghua Economic Development Zone of Xinghua, a county-level city administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province, recently started operating.
Established in October 2020 by a businessman named Huang Zhicheng, the 70,000-cubic-meter facility is catered to food companies in the zone.
According to Wang Gang, production director of Jiangsu Qiliang Food Co Ltd, the facility has allowed the company to save on management and maintenance costs related to the storage of frozen goods.
The facility also affords companies with more convenience as it provides delivery services, Wang added.
To date, the zone is home to more than 200 food manufacturers and more than 60 among them have frozen goods storage needs.
