Top officials from Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – Party Secretary Zhu Lifan and Mayor Wan Wenhua – led two teams on Feb 13 to visit national industry sectors, leading universities and major State-owned enterprises in the national capital, Beijing.

In-depth talks and exchanges were held about expanding and deepening cooperation.

At the Peking University Health Science Center, Zhu's team visited the Medicine Technology Transfer and Innovation Center.

Jiangsu has ushered in opportunities for the development of the health sector – the key industrial direction of Taizhou – Zhu Lifan said. He also called for solid support from the PKU Health Science Center to provide Taizhou with strong technical and talent resources.

Qiao Jie, director of the PKU Health Science Center, said he hoped their pharmaceutical and health industry innovation center in Taizhou would pave the way for more scientific research achievements in the city.
