Taixing EDZ department streamlines approvals for projects

The Taixing Economic Development Zone in Taixing city – administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – has streamlined its project approvals platforms and mechanisms to create a more convenient and efficient business environment.

The zone's investment promotions department has established a new working system, powered by a smart cloud platform – offering on-site and online services and establishing a joint platform for approvals, supervision, and inspections.

In addition, the department has introduced an online communications platform for government and enterprises. It's conducting remote consultations on the process of handling special equipment business for enterprises through the telephone, WeChat and other means.

Companies are enthusiastic about the initiative. "We had a large quantity of equipment that was about to undergo inspection," said a spokesman for Taixing Yida Chemical Co Ltd.

"Thanks to the investment promotions department it only took five working days for us to receive the certificate," he added.

With the new approvals system now in place, the department has also strengthened collaboration in administrative approvals, inspections and supervision. This has helped it with the entire process of special equipment modifications and safety supervision and inspections.
