Overseas Chinese teens explore culture in Taizhou city

Nearly 180 overseas Chinese teenagers and teachers of Chinese schools paid a visit to Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province from Dec 30 to  Jan 1, as part of a journey to experience the culture of the region and the daily lives of their ancestors.

They walked into the Shansheng Collection Museum, donated by Shan sheng, overseas consultants of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and Mei LanFang Memorial Museum, learning about the touching deeds of overseas Chinese who were passionately attached to their hometown.

They also went on a boat tour in the Qinhu River National Wetland Park, visiting the Yangtze River ecological wetland green corridor and the construction of the Changzhou-Taixing Yangtze River Bridge, among other things.

The visit is said to have deepened the understanding of the overseas Chinese teenagers about Chinese culture and Taizhou – and enhanced their sense of belonging in national, cultural and emotional aspects.
