Intl students explore agricultural development in Taizhou

Fifteen international students from Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia and other countries recently visited Gugao town in Jiangyan district, Taizhou, Jiangsu province, to explore the thriving local agricultural industry.

Their first stop was Jiangsu Shishilian Agricultural Product Processing, which owns intelligent, automatic, food-grade agricultural product processing equipment, food inspection and quarantine rooms, and research and development rooms.

At the Jiejiegao Butterfly Orchids Cultivation Base, these international students marveled at the blooming 10,000 pots of butterfly orchids. The base is capable of producing 400,000 seedlings of butterfly orchid, hydrangea, and other flowers per year.

One of the international visitors noted that after seeing so many agricultural facilities, he can feel the wisdom and hard work of the Chinese people in agriculture. These grand facilities have left a deep impression on him.

Anna, another international student, said, "Modern agriculture needs technology to empower it. I want to study Chinese agricultural techniques thoroughly and contribute to agricultural development when I return to my country."

Technology has enabled agriculture to undergo a modern transformation. Other successful agricultural projects in the town, such as the morel mushroom cultivation base and the Tiandi Agricultural Ecological Park, left a deep impression on these international students.
