The peach orchards in Longgang village, Qintong town, Jiangyan district, Taizhou, were bustling with activity on the morning of July 8. Villagers swiftly picked and packed ripe honey peaches to ensure same-day delivery to wholesale markets and supermarkets in cities like Shanghai, Suzhou, and Yangzhou.

Longgang village started cultivating honey peaches in 2008, and the planting area has grown to over 160 mu (10.67 hectares). Through scientific cultivation and management, the expected yield this year is about 1,500 kilograms per mu, with an average income of about 15,000 yuan ($2,079.69) per mu.
As the harvest season progresses, daily production approaches 10,000 kilograms. Honey peaches have become essential for local farmers' income and play a major role in the village's economic development.
