A cultural and tourism event promoting Xianyang was held in Taizhou on Sept 20, highlighting the city's rich history and diverse tourism attractions.

In Xianyang, Shaanxi province, visitors can climb the imperial tombs to reflect on millennia of history, sail along the Zhengguo Canal to admire the World Heritage Irrigation Structure, stroll around the picturesque Xianyang Lake, and enjoy an immersive night tour featuring traditional molten iron fireworks.

During the event, departments and enterprises from both cities — spanning commerce, culture, tourism, sports, and media — signed cooperation agreements aimed at deepening cultural and tourism exchanges, promoting industrial synergy, and strengthening talent development.

In business cooperation, the two cities will issue 200,000 yuan ($28,068) worth of consumption vouchers covering dining, accommodation, and shopping. Enterprises are encouraged to pursue cross-regional investment, mergers, and chain operations. The two sides will also build an agricultural product supply and marketing platform.

In the cultural and tourism sector, Taizhou and Xianyang will establish a regular exchange mechanism, carry out joint promotional campaigns, and enhance cultural and historical exhibitions.

Starting immediately and lasting through the end of 2025, all Xianyang's paid scenic spots will offer free admission to Taizhou residents, while Taizhou's State-owned A-level scenic spots will grant the same privilege to visitors from Xianyang.

At the event, a fucha (a kind of black tea) company from Xianyang signed an agreement with Taizhou Morning Tea Group to develop innovative products that combine Taizhou's signature morning tea snacks with Xianyang's Fucha tea.
