The Taizhou Old Street came alive on Nov 26 as the Qushui Night gala marked the launch of the 2025 Taizhou-Qushui Week. This year's program features a series of activities including an investment promotion event, art exhibitions, and a specialty market showcasing products from both regions.
The opening ceremony blended the cultural styles of the two places. Dynamic song-and-dance performances from Qushui county, Lhasa, Xizang autonomous region, brought the bold spirit of the Tibetan Plateau to the stage, while a Taizhou Peking Opera troupe presented Ode to Pear Blossom, adding a touch of local elegance. The night climaxed with a spectacular drone show.
In his remarks, Chen Li, vice-mayor of Taizhou, highlighted the 31-year partnership between Taizhou and Qushui. He expressed hopes that this year's Taizhou-Qushui Week would spark deeper cooperation across culture, tourism, industry, and public services.
The mayor of Qushui county said that over the past three decades, Taizhou's support has helped the county achieve solid progress in terms of industry, rural vitalization, and public wellbeing. The Taizhou-Qushui Week, he added, offers a window into the county's natural beauty, cultural charm, and development opportunities.
