Universities in Taizhou have made new progress in academic program development, as several majors recently passed the provincial review for bachelor's degree authorization.
The Artificial Intelligence and Pharmacy programs at Taizhou University, along with the Data Science and Big Data Technology program at Nanjing Normal University Taizhou College, have been approved.

The newly accredited programs reflect a strong focus on emerging industries. Artificial Intelligence and Data Science and Big Data Technology are designed to support digital innovation, cultivating high-level technical talent for sectors such as intelligent manufacturing, smart cities, and big data analytics. The Pharmacy program leverages Taizhou's established strengths in the pharmaceutical sector, aligning with key industrial chains including biomedicine and the broader health industry.
The latest approvals mark a breakthrough in local academic capacity building, further enriching undergraduate education resources in Taizhou. They are expected to support the city's ambition to become a regional education hub while enhancing its ability to attract and retain young talent.
