A groundbreaking ceremony for major industrial projects took place in the Hailing district of Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province, with five projects starting construction in the Hailing Industrial Park.
The five projects have a total investment of 4 billion yuan ($582.02 million). This year, 21 projects in the park, costing 100 million yuan or more each are projected to break ground.
The first project is the Huahui Zhigu (Taizhou) intelligent home appliance industrial park. With a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan, it aims to be a park integrating new generation information technology and intelligent manufacturing and also become an economic industrial base.

The second one is a food packaging materials plant operated by Taizhou Haida Plastic and Rubber Packaging Co Ltd, with total investment of 580 million yuan ($84.38 million).
It aims to co-construct 75 digital and intelligent production lines with Nanjing Forestry University and Taizhou University. When complete and at full design capacity, it is expected to produce 50,000 metric tons of food flexible packaging materials annually.
The third one is an injection products intelligent manufacturing plant operated by Suzhou Yingdong Mould Plastic Co Ltd, with total investment of 510 million yuan.
It will newly construct five automatic production lines and mainly be engaged in the production of refrigerator freezer storage drawers, storage baffles, plastic junction boxes and automotive structural injection molded parts.
The fourth project is a cold chain logistics facility to be run by Fusion Investment Holding (Hongkong) Limited, with an planned investment of $30 million and a land area of 33 mu (2.2 hectares).
It aims to build a smart logistics base integrating warehousing, cargo collection, distributions and cold chain transportation, with high-end intelligent equipment and an advanced digital management system.
The last project is a precision tool manufacturing plant to be operated by Dongguan Sanchuang Cutting Tool Co Ltd, with a total investment of 150 million yuan. It will feature four intelligent precision alloy tool production lines, mainly engaged in the production and sales of high precision computerized numerical control equipment carbide tools.
