Hailing Industrial Park – located in the Hailing district of Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – has really been speeding up the pace of its development.
Lithium battery manufacturer Jiangsu Chunlan Clean Energy Academy Co Ltd's 15 gigawatt plant has completed renovation of its facilities and 700 items of equipment are now in place on the production line.
With a total investment of 3 billion yuan ($416 million), the plant will begin operating next month.
Elsewhere, a new 4 GW photovoltaic cell plant worth 2 billion yuan – funded and operated by LONGi Solar Technology (Taizhou) Co Ltd – will have eight fully automatic production lines on completion. At present, four of them have started operating.
With a total investment of 580 million yuan, a food packaging materials plant – being funded by Taizhou Haida Plastic & Rubber Packaging Co Ltd – aims to build 75 smart and intelligent production lines.

The renovation of the factory buildings has been completed and some equipment has been put into operation. At full capacity, the plant is expected to produce 50,000 metric tons of soft packaging materials to box and wrap food annually.
Also in the park, Jiangsu Kehua New Materials Technology Co Ltd's semiconductors packaging materials plant has completed construction of two extrusion lines which have started trial production.
With a total investment of 520 million yuan, the plan is to build 12 extrusion production lines and 12 powder production lines.
