In the bustling production facility of Jiangsu Mabona Drivetech Co Ltd, located in the Hailing Industrial Park in Taizhou, workers are busy processing orders recently.
Mabona Drivetech, an emerging firm focused on the research and manufacture of key power transmission components, has forged alliances with renowned brands like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Volvo.
"In January, we made 50 million yuan ($6.88 million) in sales, a 30-percent increase year-on-year. With drive and motivation, we are confident we can hit our 150-million-yuan sales target for the first quarter," said Hu Guangxin, the general manager of the company.
Furthermore, the company places great emphasis on product research and digital transformation. "We introduce over 100 new products a year and had a portfolio of 131 distinct products by 2024," said Yuan Jun, the company's technical director.
To date, the company has invested 35 million yuan in 19 pieces of automated equipment for the production of new key shafts, marking a milestone in its digital transformation.
"The traditional production line requires around 18 workers per shift. Once the new line is operational, it will need just six workers to cover two shifts, significantly increasing its annual production capacity to over 500,000 items," said Li Mingjun, who is responsible for the company's key shaft production line.
"This upgrade is expected to increase the company's annual sales by about 60 million yuan," added Li.
