Jiangsu Jiyuan Medical Technology Co, a specialized and innovative enterprise focusing on women's health in Hailing Industrial Park, Taizhou, has emerged as a leader in endoscopic technology innovation recently.
An array of the company's self-developed products have obtained certifications in many countries. "Our products are now sold in more than 50 countries around the world, including in Europe, the Americas, and Southeast Asia," said Zhang Yunfei, chairman of Jiyuan Medical.

The company's hysteroscope makes medical care more convenient. Routine checks can be shortened to five minutes, with an average surgery time of 12 minutes. Skilled gynecologists can complete more than 20 surgeries a day using the technology. Weighing just 75-180 grams, the disposable endoscope is easy to handle.
"Our hysteroscopes are very lightweight. In remote areas, doctors can carry the equipment in a bag and go to their patients' homes for medical care," said Zhang.
"The integration of different technologies required to make the product was challenging, as it spans multiple disciplines, including medicine, materials science, precision manufacturing, electronic engineering, and image processing. Currently, we are the only company in China capable of achieving such a comprehensive integration," said Zhang.
In the workshop of Jiyuan Medical in Hailing Industrial Park, two production lines are operating at full capacity, producing 400 to 600 disposable endoscopes per day. Order have been booked until June this year, according to Gao Hongbin, the company's production manager.
Lu Luanhua, the manager of Jiyuan Medical's research and development department, said that the company allocates 15 percent of its sales revenue to technological R&D each year. To date, it has successfully applied for dozens of patents, including more than 20 invention patents.
