The new energy motorcycle manufacturing and headquarters construction project, invested in and constructed by Shanghai Keeway Power Technology Co Ltd in Hailing Industrial Park, has accelerated its construction progress recently.
Renovations for supporting facilities, including employee dormitories, cafeterias, and office buildings, have been completed. The comprehensive refurbishment of two large factory buildings is also underway and is expected to be completed in June.
Launched in February with a total investment of 5 billion yuan ($695.38 million), the project revamps 80,000 square meters of existing factory space in the park.
The project aims to set up a headquarters in Hailing, along with a production base capable of manufacturing 300,000 units of fuel (electric) motorcycles and their core components every year, which is set to enable the establishment of an integrated intelligent manufacturing center and a headquarters settlement center, known as "the double centers".
Upon full completion and operation, it is projected to achieve annual invoiced sales of 8 billion yuan and generate comprehensive tax revenue of 240 million yuan.
