Two years after establishing a presence in Hailing Industrial Park, Jiangsu Wanli Cutting Tools has transformed into a powerhouse in smart manufacturing.
Since moving in in August 2023, the company has continuously expanded its scale in just two years: from the initial one production workshop with a monthly production capacity of 100,000 units, to the current two workshops with a monthly production capacity of 300,000 units.

"Choosing Hailing was our best decision," said General Manager Liu Lanhui, citing supportive policies and local client networks. The company, a subsidiary of a Dongguan-based high-tech enterprise, has invested 30 million yuan ($4.21 million) in fully automated CNC machining production lines, significantly boosting labor efficiency — one operator now monitors 12 machines. Its product precision reaches 3 microns, meeting aerospace standards.
In addition to scaling up production, Wanli is integrating vertically. A planned PVD (physical vapor deposition) diamond-coated production line will enhance tool durability, targeting an output value of 80 million yuan by 2026.
The company's products not only supply local enterprises in Hailing district but also reach markets in Suzhou, Shanghai, Zhejiang, and beyond. Several product lines have gained entry into high-end industrial sectors such as aerospace and new energy vehicles, thanks to their exceptional quality.
Future plans include an R&D center for smart transformation and digital upgrades to solidify its leadership in China's cutting tool sector.
