The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China has announced the preliminary list for the 2025 national green factories and green industrial parks, with Hailing Industrial Park in Taizhou, Jiangsu province, qualifying for the latter category.
A green industrial park is defined as an industrial zone that integrates green and low-carbon principles into its planning, spatial layout, industrial chain, energy and resource utilization, infrastructure, and more. It serves as a hub for aggregating green factories and infrastructure, encouraging sustainable and circular development.
In recent years, Taizhou's Hailing district has remained committed to green and low-carbon growth, using a multi-angle strategy that involves policy support, promoting energy-saving technologies, and developing different levels of enterprises. These efforts have motivated companies to pursue green shifts and upgrades.
To date, the district features a national-level green supply chain management enterprise, two national-level green factories, and 18 provincial-level green factories. Hailing Industrial Park has attained both provincial and national green industrial park status.
