During the Spring Festival holiday from Feb 15 to 23, Hailing district in Taizhou, Jiangsu province, witnessed a surge in consumer activity, with major commercial areas bustling with festive cheer and shoppers.
Total sales at key commercial enterprises exceeded 83 million yuan ($12.03 million), marking a 9.1 percent increase year-on-year, while visitor numbers soared to 1.14 million, up 19.3 percent from the previous year.
The Fun World shopping mall stood out, captivating visitors with its vibrant Spring Festival decorations and performances. Parades featuring performers in splendid costumes wound through the mall, warmly interacting with shoppers and children. The mall reported a staggering 350,000 visitors during the holiday, with sales jumping 12 percent year-on-year.

Scenic spots like Taizhou Old Street and Wanghai Tower also drew large crowds, enhancing the festive atmosphere.
