Construction commenced on the China Mobile (Taizhou) Intelligent Computing Center in Hailing Industrial Park on April 21, marking a milestone in the development of Taizhou's digital infrastructure.

Jiang Dongdong, Party secretary of Taizhou, emphasized that the project aligns with Taizhou's strategic vision of fostering new quality productive forces and modernizing its industrial ecosystem. The intelligent computing center is expected to serve as a pivotal hub for integrating artificial intelligence with Taizhou's industrial sectors, driving digital transformation across the region.

Li Feng, chairman and general manager of China Mobile's Jiangsu branch, highlighted Taizhou's robust industrial foundation and strategic location as key factors behind the investment decision. The project represents China Mobile's commitment to national digital economy initiatives and regional collaboration, he added.

Covering 1.32 hectares and featuring a total investment of approximately 1 billion yuan ($146.55 million), the first phase will span 9,628 square meters and is scheduled for completion by early 2027.

The center will be Taizhou's largest and most advanced intelligent computing facility, enhancing local data processing capabilities and acting as a digital engine for industrial modernization.
