Hailing Industrial Park in Taizhou, Jiangsu province, held a project signing ceremony on April 30, sealing deals for five new ventures worth a combined 730 million yuan ($107.67 million). The projects span smart home appliances, advanced manufacturing, new energy battery recycling, producer services, and cultural commerce — signaling a push to strengthen industrial chains while enhancing the park's urban appeal.
The lineup reflects a clear strategy: build a self-sustaining ecosystem where manufacturing, supporting services, and circular economy models reinforce one another.
A smart home appliance supporting industrial park will consolidate Hailing Industrial Park's position as a regional hub for appliance components. An intelligent manufacturing project will introduce fully automated display carrier production lines, supplying key components for smart appliances and large-screen displays. A specialty welding materials technology center will serve as an R&D and testing platform, providing technical support for offshore equipment and shipbuilding.
The battery recycling project will address what planners call the "missing link" at the end of the new energy chain, enabling closed-loop, low-carbon development. Rounding out the portfolio, a Silk Road-themed cultural project will introduce ethnic catering, a Silk Road goods supply chain, and cultural services.
He Qingdong, Party working committee secretary of Hailing Industrial Park, said the signings will fill supply chain gaps, expand industrial clusters, and improve urban supporting facilities. The park pledged to streamline its business environment and provide front-loaded services to accelerate project construction.
