The Jiangyan district of Taizhou city – in East China's Jiangsu province – held a conference recently, designed to boost the development of its construction sector.

The value of its total output topped 110 billion ($16.21 billion) in 2022, marking the third consecutive year it achieved over 10 percent year-on-year growth.

"The construction sector has always been one of the top performing industries in Jiangyan and we need more industrial clusters and a modernized industrial system to make our district a construction hub," said Fangzhen, Party secretary of the district.

Fang added that more efficient services should be provided for the construction industry.

The investigation, publicity and supervision of incentive policies would also be increased to better help business entities and people in need, he said.
