This year, the rural tourism festival will run until September. A wide range of activities – such as fruit and vegetables picking, food tastings, academic study tours, as well as folklore festivals – will be held to raise the profile of Jiangyan's rural areas.
In recent years, Jiangyan district has been exploring innovative ways to develop its rural areas, and many of its local villages have received provincial and national recognition for their tourism.
