The Suzhong Pharmaceutical Group – based in the Jianyan district of Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – was recently awarded the 2023 Jiangsu Governor's Quality Award, according to a news release issued by the provincial government on Sept 28.

The award, considered to be the highest recognition in the field of quality, is given to organizations and individuals who have demonstrated excellence in performance management – achieving significant economic and social benefits – and that have made outstanding contributions to the development of Jiangsu province.
The Suzhong Pharmaceutical Group has been ranked 35th among Chinese traditional medicine enterprises and one of the top 100 pharma companies in China for 16 consecutive years. It's also been recognized as one of the top 100 medicine distribution enterprises in the country.
The company has established various research and development institutions in collaboration with prestigious scientific research institutes, such as the Chinese Academy of Sciences and China Pharmaceutical University.
Suzhong Pharmaceuticals is said to follow a quality management model that is focused on the market, technology, industry and management – with the aim of creating national pharma products and contributing to the improvement of public health.
In recent years, the Taizhou Administration For Market Regulation has been actively promoting the city's quality development and supporting the development of high-quality enterprises.
To date, Taizhou city has received a total of seven Governor's Quality Awards and five Governor's Quality Award nominations.
