The Jiangyan district of Taizhou city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – is currently riding a surge in industrial activity as local enterprises push to increase production and efficiency.

Two companies – Jiangsu Liyuan Conveyor Machinery Co Ltd and Jiangsu Shuguang Huayang Drilling Tool Co Ltd – are at the forefront of the trend.

Jiangsu Liyuan Conveyor Machinery Co Ltd, located in the Jiangyan high-tech zone, is witnessing a surge in production. The company specializes in high-end conveying equipment that is primarily exported to Japan and the United States.

With a current order backlog of about 100-120 million yuan ($13.99-16.79 million), it's aiming to complete the production schedule by the second half of the year.

Having relocated to Jiangyan in 2023, the group constructed a 40,000-square-meter plant and invested nearly 200 million yuan in advanced design software and equipment.

Not far away, Jiangsu Shuguang Huayang Drilling Tool Co Ltd is also experiencing significant growth. Despite ongoing equipment installations, its existing CNC lathe is already operational.

The manufacturer invested 100 million yuan in a new plant to expand production capacity. That's achieved improved efficiency, increasing  production capacity from 15 to 25 units per hour through automatic alignment.

Specializing in oil drill pipes and drill collar equipment, the company expects to double its market share to 30 percent this year, with current orders totaling about 300 million yuan.

Overall, Jiangyan district achieved robust industrial development results last year, with industrial invoiced sales hitting 88.74 billion yuan.
