With the onset of the Spring Festival, also known as Chinese New Year, residents of the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – are bustling about these days with their preparations for the most significant celebration of the year.

They're currently actively engaged in purchasing all the traditional food and decorations.

The Spring Festival signifies the commencement of a new lunar year and the initiation of a fresh zodiac cycle. This year, the festival is set to take place on Feb 10, marking the advent of the Year of the Dragon – a symbol representing power, strength and good fortune in Chinese culture.
