That's according to a local official, speaking recently, who said that last year the district diligently pursued the implementation of its industrial, tourism and education strategies.

As a result, Jiangyan generated annual GDP of 87.655 billion yuan ($12.21 billion), marking a 6 percent increase on the previous year, while also posting a 5.5 percent rise in the general public budget revenue, which hit 4.36 billion yuan.

The focus is currently on precision manufacturing, with plans to attract new projects and strengthen key core technology breakthroughs.

The goal is to form a highly competitive precision manufacturing cluster, with the aim of the precision manufacturing sector accounting for over 80 percent of the entire total industrial landscape by 2026.

In urban development, Jiangyan district is expanding its green spaces and establishing more parks to provide residents with more recreation and leisure opportunities.
