Jiangduo town has restructured its operations by integrating resources, replacing the previously fragmented village-based management system. The town has also invited nine experts to provide technical guidance, ensuring quality and efficiency of strawberry farming.
To strengthen its competitive edge, the town has invested in infrastructure upgrades and advanced seedling technologies, reducing seedling costs by 3,000 yuan ($409.19) per mu. Additionally, Jiangduo has established experimental platforms focusing on soil improvement and seed research, building itself into a comprehensive hub for study tours, experimentation, and industry development.
Brand development has been a key focus for the town. Jiangduo successfully registered a regional public brand for its strawberries. Furthermore, the strawberries produced in the town earned a silver medal at a provincial competition, boosting its market reputation.
Moreover, Jiangduo created various strawberry-themed attractions. From livestream promotion to cultural products, strawberry-themed villages, cafes, and camping sites, the town has become a magnet for urban tourists. Activities such as cycling tours, mini-marathons, and team-building events draw weekend visitors and fill local venues to capacity.
The town's efforts have borne fruit. In 2024, Jiangduo expanded its strawberry farming operations by an additional 200 mu, in the form of greenhouses. Annual sales are expected to exceed 150 million yuan, reflecting a 30 percent year-on-year growth, with online channels alone contributing 5 million yuan. The industry has also boosted the collective income of eight villages to over 1 million yuan each, solidifying Jiangduo's position as a model of agricultural innovation and rural vitalization.
