The documentary highlighted the dedication of local artisan Guo Jincai and his apprentices, who continue to use traditional baking techniques. Guo skillfully leans into a furnace heated to nearly 200 degrees Celsius, placing two pieces of dough inside at a time. In just eight minutes, the oven is packed with 140 shaobing. The team produces 15 batches daily.
These meticulously crafted shaobing are crispy, fragrant, and flavorful. When paired with a bowl of Jiangyan's signature fish soup noodles, they provide locals with a wholesome and energizing start to the day.
