The construction project examinations and approvals process has been sped up in Jingjiang city – administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province.

That's amid the country's consistent reforms to streamline administration, improve regulations and upgrade government services, according to local media reports.

The period set aside for assessments and give the green light  for a construction project has been shortened to just three days from 22 days previously, the city's administrative examinations and approvals bureau said.

Projects with medium and low risk can be given the nod for construction within three days. That's provided they are entitled to the land use, meet the conditions for starting construction and make relevant commitments, the bureau said.

Sprint Precision Technologies, a company specializing in precision parts and components manufacturing, became the first beneficiary of the reform recently.

It obtained various administrative approvals the day after its application for the construction of a storage facility.

"The reform helps enterprises start construction very soon, saving more than half a month compared with the previous examinations and approval process," said Zhang Feng, director of the department of construction projects examinations and approvals at the bureau.
