The Lantern Festival was celebrated with great vitality and brio on Feb 5, with a number of special folk activities put on in Jingjiang city – a county-level city administered by Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province.

The audience was regaled in the city with 14 shows staged by artists and art enthusiasts from Jan 30 to Feb 5, including music, dance and dramas.

"It's great to feel the charm of traditional Chinese culture here and the shows are of great quality," said resident Xu Yancheng.
