By deepening the reform of its "internet plus government service", Jingjiang has promoted the cross-city mode of government services – enabling the public to deal with the administrative examinations and approvals business in different places.

It is said that such moves are helping to promote the free flow of the factors of production and to energize the city's markets.

Relying on the internet-based "Yangtze River Delta One-Network Office" platform, Jingjiang has achieved market access to cross-city government services.

Through the network, residents can handle related business in Shanghai and in the cities in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces – as well as in Zouping city in Shandong province and in Binhai county in Yancheng city, in Jiangsu province.

At present, Jingjiang's cross-city services are mainly focused on public security, medical care, social security, enterprise services and other key areas, promoting the in-depth integration of online and on-site services.

These services are extending to the grass-roots level, including public service centers in townships.

Plans are for Jingjiang city to build an interconnected, convenient and efficient cross-city government service system – to allow enterprises and the public to fully enjoy the dividends of digital government development.
