In recent years, Jingjiang city in Jiangsu province has implemented an array of policies to optimize its business environment, cultivate more market players, unleash the vitality of innovation and support the advancement of the private economy.
Since the beginning of this year, Jingjiang has guided private enterprises to promote the smart and intelligent transformation of production and speed up the establishment of intelligent demonstration workshops.
One-third of the city's enterprises above the designated size – those with annual revenue of 20 million yuan ($2.91 million) or more – have carried out intelligent transformation, adding a strong impetus to the upgrading and high-quality development of private enterprises.

"The key to any successful digital transformation is people's willingness to change," said Pan Jinyuan, manager of the information technology department of Sprint Precision Technologies (Jiangsu) Co Ltd, a high-tech company that specializes in the manufacturing of core equipment components for large-scale integrated circuits.
While promoting intelligent and digital transformation, the company has carried out classified trainings for front-line workers, team leaders and executives. The transformation of its management model has also led the enterprise to undergo profound changes.
"We have more than 3,000 kinds of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, more than 10,000 orders and 300,000 procedures. Intelligent transformation allows us to achieve greater efficiency," Pan said. The company has realized the visual management of all its production processes, driving output to increase by 40 percent.
As of now, Jingjiang has created 19 provincial-level demonstration workshops, 25 city-level demonstration workshops, three provincial-level demonstration factories and six city-level demonstration factories.
