The opening ceremony of the 2023 Jingjiang Tourism Festival – which has cherry blossoms and strawberries among its chief highlights – was held on March 19 in Maqiao town of Jingjiang city in East China's Jiangsu province.

The festival is aimed to promote the establishment of the Yangtze River Delta (Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Anhui) Strawberry Industry Technology Innovation Alliance.

Aimed at enhancing the technological innovation capacity of the strawberry industry, the alliance will also play a role in promoting the high-quality development of the strawberry industry in the Yangtze River Delta region.
Jiang Xiangrong, director of the Taizhou municipal bureau of agriculture and rural affairs, said Taizhou would take the opportunity of the establishment of the Yangtze River Delta Strawberry Technology Industry Alliance to vigorously develop its strawberry processing industry and promote the integrated development of agriculture, culture and tourism.
Jiang added that cooperation would be strengthened with other provinces and cities, giving full play to the role of the industrial alliance in boosting the region's strawberry industry.
