A pot of Xiepeimei orchids from Jingjiang city in East China's Jiangsu province won the gold medal at the recently concluded Yangtze River Delta Cymbidium Orchid Exhibition and 2023 Jiangsu Cymbidium Orchid Exhibition, which was among 1,000 pots on site.

The exhibition showcased a wide and rare variety of orchids and attracted multitudes of visitors from April 7 to 8 in Yancheng, Jiangsu province. The on-site Xiepeimei orchid had an extended flowering period due to staff members' special care, which helped it receive the gold medal from judges.
In China, the plum blossom, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum are praised as the "four gentlemen" of Chinese flowers. Orchid flowers, in particular, are the city flower of Jingjiang and are a bright cultural symbol.
