Some 11 enterprises from Jingjiang city in East China's Jiangsu province grabbed total orders worth over 18 million yuan ($2.6 million) during the first phase of the 133rd China Import and Export Fair, which started on April 15 and concluded on April 19 in Guangzhou, Guangdong province.
Among them, Jiangsu Hoston Machine Tools Co Ltd attracted over 20 foreign businesspeople on the first day and their products, including CNC metal spinning machines, were highly welcomed. The company negotiated a package of investments and preliminary contract agreements worth over 10 million yuan.

Companies from Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone also proved a big hit. GMO Hi-Tech Co Ltd, for example, attracted widespread attention with its low-carbon, energy-saving and high-efficiency water heater products. The enterprise reached preliminary contract agreements with clients from the US, Mongolia and India, with orders totaling 2 million yuan.
This year, the China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, has fully resumed on-site exhibitions and normalized the operation of online platforms with breakthroughs in scale, products, quality and concept. It adopts the integrated mode of online and offline exhibitions and is divided into three phases.
