As the Year of the Dragon begins, enterprises in Jingjiang city – a county-level city, administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – are ramping up production to meet demand, expedite orders and expand sales.
One of those leading the charge is Jiangsu Asian Star Anchor Chain Co Ltd. On the eighth day of the Chinese New Year its workshop was in full swing, fulfilling a large European order.

According to Zhang Weixin, the executive vice general manager, the business resumed full operations on Feb 18, with all workshops now running at maximum capacity.
The company, known for being the world's biggest anchor chain and mooring manufacturer, expects a more than 10 percent year-on-year increase in first-quarter output value, with orders secured to 2025.
In 2023, the enterprise's annual output value topped 1.7 billion yuan ($236.19 million).
Things are also going great guns at Jiangsu Hengyi Industrial Technology Co Ltd, with its intelligent production line running at high speed and with a 30 percent increase in orders to date compared with the previous year.
The company is focusing on developing new models of battery boxes and associated products, aiming to become a leading domestic supplier to the new energy automobile industry.
