Chimbusco Oil Storage & Transportation (Jiangsu), located in Jingjiang, a county-level city in Taizhou, has recently received the certificate of approval in principle for its methanol truck-to-ship bunkering solution from the China Classification Society.
This is the first AIP certificate for large container ships' methanol bunkering solution in China, signifying a breakthrough for the company in truck-to-ship bunkering and its contribution to green shipping.
The solution, developed by Chimbusco Jiangsu and Wuhan University of Technology, provides detailed technical instructions and safety guidelines for methanol bunkering, covering preparatory work, facilities, operational procedures, safety management, and emergency response.
Chimbusco Jiangsu is a comprehensive enterprise that primarily supplies a range of fuels and lubricants to vessels navigating along international and domestic routes.
In recent years, the company has conducted extensive technological research and development of oil products. In the future, it is set to continue to focus closely on low-carbon alternative fuels to help reduce carbon emissions in the shipping industry.
