The per capita disposable income of residents in Jingjiang, a county-level city in Taizhou, reached 56,373 yuan ($7,734.12) in 2024 with a year-on-year increase of 5.6 percent, ranking first in Taizhou, according to recent statistics from the Jingjiang survey team of China's National Bureau of Statistics.
The per capita disposable income for urban residents stands at 67,195 yuan, marking a 4.8 percent growth, while that for rural residents is 37,183 yuan, up by 6.8 percent. The faster income growth in rural areas has further narrowed the urban-rural income gap.
In recent years, Jingjiang has prioritized the optimization of its industrial structure. By developing emerging industries, cultivating advantageous industries, and transforming traditional industries, the city has enhanced industrial competitiveness and value-added.
While continuously expanding the overall economic volume, it has also stepped up efforts to implement policies aimed at stabilizing employment, increasing income, and enhancing the well-being of the people.
