A Lantern Festival celebration was held in Jingjiang, a county-level city in Taizhou, East China's Jiangsu province, attracting over 200 people, including several international friends.
Participants enjoyed intangible cultural heritage handicrafts, calligraphy, tea tasting, traditional Chinese Hanfu experience, and bilingual lantern riddles.
"There are so many great activities, but my favorite is guessing riddles. I've solved three already, and I even won some cool gifts," said the Jingjiang citizen Shao Ziyi.
International participants also found themselves taken with the charm of Chinese traditional culture.
"I had only seen Hanfu in movies before. Now, wearing it makes me feel like a true Chinese girl. It's incredibly beautiful and surprisingly comfortable," said Itu from South Africa.
In addition, they also visited the Yangtze River Culture Hall to learn about the city's history and culture, as well as to appreciate Yangtze River culture.
