The custom-developed welding assembly workstation by Huada Automotive Technology Co Ltd, located in Jingjiang, a county-level city in Taizhou, Jiangsu province, for Xiaomi Automobile completed debugging and officially entered the trial production and sampling phase recently.

This fully automated production line, with a total investment of 30 million yuan ($4.17 million), injects strong momentum into the upgrading of the new energy vehicle industry chain.

Project leader Xia Tian said that the line's transformation began in January this year. It went from design to trial production in just four months, with samples already delivered.

Upon mass production in July, its peak monthly capacity will reach 6,240 units, according to Xia.

The production line retains only essential manual loading steps. The remaining processes employ robotic grippers, transfer stations, automatic flipping stations, and semi-automatic pneumatic inspection equipment.

Utilizing China's most advanced laser brazing technology, it maximizes production efficiency while ensuring product quality.

As a leading automotive parts manufacturer in Jingjiang, Huada Automotive Technology has established core capabilities in stamping and welding, new energy battery enclosures, and integrated die-casting processes.

In recent years, the company has accelerated its transition into the new energy sector. By systematically overcoming technical challenges with materials like high-strength aluminum alloys and novel magnesium alloys, it now leads innovation in key automotive components.
