Summer grain procurement in Jingjiang, a county-level city in Taizhou, East China's Jiangsu province, has been advancing smoothly recently, with 37,300 metric tons of summer wheat already purchased.
At Yangzijiang Modern Grain Logistics Co's storage depot, located in the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, daily operations including sampling, inspection, and whole-truck weighing are proceeding orderly.
"Transparent pricing and fair treatment here give me full confidence. Payment is transferred directly to our banks immediately after selling the grain," said Yuan Meixia, a grower who has farmed in Jingjiang for the past five years.
"The grain purchase has come to an end in the past two days. At the peak, we purchased 5,000 to 6,000 tons daily," said Lu Bin, deputy manager of Yangzijiang Modern Grain Logistics. "We maintain an open-door policy for farmers' grain without price suppression."
Since the launch of summer grain procurement on May 25, our staff have extended service hours and begun preparing in advance to guarantee immediate processing upon arrival, eliminating truck delays or overnight waits for farmers, added Lu.
To date, Yangzijiang Modern Grain Logistics has procured approximately 30,000 tons of wheat. Procurement operations at other grain collection points across the city are also progressing orderly.
