On June 24, Jiangsu Duokai Power Machinery Co Ltd, located in Jingjiang, Taizhou, Jiangsu province, delivered its first-ever Everllence marine engine. This achievement signifies a major milestone for the city's high-tech shipbuilding sector in acquiring world-class propulsion technology.
In recent years, Jingjiang has prioritized marine engine manufacturing as a strategic focus.
Last June, Duokai Power signed a production license agreement with Everllence (formerly MAN Energy Solutions), a top provider of propulsion, decarbonization, and efficiency solutions for shipping, the energy sector, and industry. This makes it China's fourth and Jiangsu's first manufacturer of Everllence large-bore, low-speed marine diesel engines.
The newly delivered engine adheres to the latest environmental standards, complying with the International Maritime Organization's Tier III emissions regulations. Its six-cylinder design supplies a steady output of 6,810 kilowatts, offering vessels reliable, powerful performance along with stable operation and efficiency.
Duokai currently has orders for over 80 Everllence marine engines, with production scheduled through the first quarter of 2028.
