Jingjiang Port recorded cargo throughput of 140 million tons during the first half of 2025, marking a 6.9 percent year-on-year increase and solidifying its position as Taizhou's top-performing port.

"The top five port operators at Jingjiang Port contributed significantly to this growth. Yangtze River Port Services topped the list with 17.24 million metric tons," said a staff member from the city’s port and shipping development center.

As the first county-level 100-million-ton port along the Yangtze River's northern bank, Jingjiang has maintained an annual throughput growth rate of over 10 percent. Its rise into China's top 20 ports in 2023 is underpinned by a multidimensional port cluster featuring 68 berths exceeding a capacity of 10,000 tons, including four 100,000-ton-class berths.

Statistics from the municipal transport bureau reveal five dominant cargo categories driving throughput: coal, mineral construction materials, metal ores, grain, and non-metal ores. Collectively, these accounted for 94.6 percent of total volume from January to June 2025.

Due to robust domestic demand, the domestic trade throughput reached 133 million tons, accounting for 94.2 percent of the total, up 7.2 percent year-on-year. Foreign trade throughput exceeded 8.15 million tons, representing 5.8 percent of the total, up 2.2 percent year-on-year.
