The selection process for the Jiangsu Changjiang Commercial Bank 2025 Jingjiang Half Marathon, scheduled on Nov 9, concluded on Sept 5.
The event features two categories, including a half marathon and a fun run, with a course design that breaks traditional urban race constraints. The route features the Yangtze River shoreline, with stunning waterside scenery.
Since registration opened in late July, runners have enthusiastically signed up for the half marathon. The lottery ultimately selected 6,000 participants for the half marathon and 4,000 for the fun run.
Big data analysis shows that among registered applicants, 67.4 percent opted for the half marathon and 32.6 percent for the fun run. Gender and age distribution shows male participants account for 70.5 percent and female 29.5 percent, with age groups distributed as follows: under 18 (9 percent), 18-40 (53.1 percent), 41-65 (37.5 percent), and over 65 (0.4 percent).
The event demonstrates strong nationwide and international appeal. Non-local runners comprise 79.1 percent of half marathon registrants, including participants from 16 countries and regions such as Kenya, South Korea, the United States, Japan, Vietnam, the United Kingdom, Australia, Ethiopia, Rwanda, the Netherlands, Bahrain, and Brazil.
