Liu Junxi from Jingjiang clocked a personal best of 13.23 seconds in men's 110-meter hurdles preliminaries at the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25, securing third place in his heat and direct qualification to the semifinals.
In March, he won a bronze medal in the 60m hurdles at the World Athletics Indoor Championships with a time of 7.55 seconds, becoming the second Chinese male hurdler after Liu Xiang to podium at a world championship.
