At the beginning of this year, the Ministry of Natural Resources selected 50 regions nationwide with abundant natural and cultural resources and spatially connected areas to carry out the second batch of survey pilot work.
The Binjiang Scenic Belt in Jingjiang, Taizhou, East China's Jiangsu province, has been selected as one of the two pilot areas in the province and one of 50 pilot areas in the country with abundant natural and cultural resources and spatial connectivity.
The Ministry of Natural Resources is conducting pilot investigations in these areas this year with the aim of developing a systematic survey method and evaluation system and opening up value transformation channels for environmental protection, cultural preservation, economic development, and social benefits.

The Binjiang Scenic Belt is located in the construction area of the Yangtze River National Cultural Park and is known for the Binjiang wetlands, ancient ferry crossings, and shipbuilding industrial sites.
The investigation work innovatively allows people to experience the development trajectory of the Binjiang area from history to modernity.
The investigation team has uncovered the core cultural context of the Binjiang Scenic Belt, defined by the distinctive features of "one river, one ferry, and one ship". They believe that the river nourishes the indomitable character of the Jingjiang people, and the ferry bears witness to the pioneering spirit of "striving to surpass". "One ship" not only represents revolutionary memory in history but also serves as a symbol of Jingjiang's strong modern shipbuilding industry.
