A small home appliance intelligent control module developed by local manufacturer Jiangsu Shalong Mechanical & Electrical Technology has entered small-scale trial production, marking a major step forward in the smart home sector of Jingjiang, Jiangsu province.
The module, which integrates voice and the internet of things (IoT) chips, turns smart living scenarios into a reality. By simply saying "barbecue", you can have your air fryer automatically switch to the proper setting and start working.
The microphone on the module picks up user commands, while the chip performs real-time analysis and recognition, converting the command into a control signal that lets the air fryer know which operation to perform.

The company also produces Wi-Fi IoT modules, which are widely used in products such as rice cookers and microwave ovens. This device enables users to remotely control appliances through their mobile phones, allowing for the creation of a smart interconnected ecosystem throughout the house.
The popularization of intelligent modules relies on efficient and precise manufacturing capabilities. The company's quality department has adopted an online automated optical inspection (AOI) system equipped with an AI database, rewriting the traditional quality inspection process.
"The introduction of this AI system has increased the overall detection efficiency by over 50 percent," said Wang Weiqin, head of the quality department.
In the near future, the company is set to increase the application of image recognition, temperature recognition, and other aspects, as it seeks to deeply integrate smart home technology into more products, said Zhao Shuai, general manager of the company.
