The wharf warehousing project being built by COFCO Trade (Jingjiang) Co Ltd in the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Taizhou, is advancing steadily.
Wang Aimin, deputy general manager of COFCO Trade (Jingjiang), said that the earthwork excavation and foundation casting has been completed for the grain silos, and sliding form construction has begun.
"This project will build silos capable of holding 400,000 metric tons of grain, as well as supporting facilities related to measurement, conveying, and environmental protection. The wharf area will upgrade and transform the existing supporting facilities, adding modern loading and unloading equipment such as ship loaders, ship unloaders, and conveyors," said Wang.
This project is a major national grain logistics system construction project and an important part of COFCO Group's efforts to increase its competitiveness in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
