With its prime location and robust manufacturing capabilities, Jingjiang, a county-level city in Taizhou, East China's Jiangsu province, has been actively embracing the high-quality development of the Belt and Road initiative with a spirit of vigorous progress.

Focusing on Innovation

While maintaining stable contributions from traditional industries, Jingjiang has seen rapid development in emerging sectors such as big health, new energy, new materials, and expanding export scales.

Advantageous Location

Located at the geographical heart of the Yangtze River Delta, the city boasts a 12.5-meter deep-water channel, a 52.3-kilometer Yangtze River shoreline, and several first-class open ports. This gives it a natural advantage as a key node for maritime and land cargo transshipment along the BRI.

Raw materials from Papua New Guinea, coal from Russia, and minerals from Southeast Asia converge at the Jingjiang Port and are dispatched to various parts of the country. From here, vehicles, ships, and electrical products also set sail.

Proactive in Seeking Cooperation

Responding to the BRI, Jingjiang's enterprises have diversified their overseas investments. Companies like Yulun Textile and Shunda Mould are leveraging the resource endowments and policy preferences to expand into Southeast Asia market.

According to statistics from Jingjiang customs, in 2024, the trade volume between Jingjiang and the countries involved in BRI exceeded 10.3 billion yuan ($1.42 billion), a year-on-year increase of 40 percent, setting a new historical high.
