The village planning of Qixiang village – located in Huangqiao town, in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu – was recently rated as excellent in the province.
Adhering to a roadmap of conservation and development, Qixiang has set out clear goals, bottom line constraints, its layout and control of land, the protection of arable terrain, industrial development and other key issues.
In particular, its integration of agrarian, cultural, tourism and other resources is expanding its industrial supply chain.
Village planning is seen as an important guarantee for achieving rural vitalization.
Overall, 40 cases in the province were rated as excellent case studies, covering the fields of construction in beautiful rural areas, rural housing renovation, comprehensive vitalization, among other things.
In October, the case studies were compiled into a volume and their experience and practices will now be promoted throughout the province.
